The Chief Executive Officer will lead and provide oversight to all aspects of NRM North’s corporate objectives, programs, staff, partnerships and communications. Working closely with the Management Committee, the Chief Executive Officer will develop and implement the strategic plan, ensuring delivery of strategies focussed on sustainability into the future that give meaning to NRM North and its stakeholders.
Based in Launceston, this dynamic role will manage the organisation’s resources and operations with efficiency and effectiveness while providing visionary leadership to a team of dedicated professionals and will collaborate closely with the vibrant community of Northern Tasmania, empowering them to manage and preserve the region’s natural resources.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience at a senior level in natural resource management and the ability to promote the profile of NRM North in the community. The role will be suited to a genuine, personable leader with outstanding communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage with all staff and relate to a broad variety of stakeholder groups. A strong focus on relationship and partnership building together with an understanding of the political and community issues regarding natural resource management is essential. The ability to think strategically and collaboratively to lead the organisation to achieve its vision, empowering management and staff, is also required.
