Are you a Computing Engineer with a passion for working with complex systems and integrating them into robust end-to-end solutions? Are you at ease learning and working with off-the-shelf solutions as well as with writing your own applications? Do you enjoy working in an agile environment and a self-organized team? Then join our team of talented engineers and contribute to application software for CERN’s Corporate Information Systems. CERN, take part!
Join our dynamic and innovative team in the Business Computing (BC) Group, specializing in Operations Management tools. The product management driven group is working for clients across the whole Organisation (HR, Finance, Planning, Safety, Security, Purchasing, Logistics, and Accelerator Operations). The types of products under the group’s responsibility range from custom-made solutions for a few users to large and widely integrated systems with 15,000+ users. You will specifically join the Supply Chain, Logistics and Jobs (SLJ) product group. In this group, you will join a self-organised agile product team delivering solutions for the Supply Chain management and Logistics services at CERN using a mix of in-house developed applications and commercial tools that integrate with each other.
More specifically, you will take on the following responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and configure computing services, applications, or shared platforms tailored to our business partners’ needs;
- Define and implement effective long-term maintainable integrations between different computing systems;
- Prepare, document, automate and execute thorough testing of the IT solutions supporting our business partners processes;
- Participate in maintenance activities to ensure the stability and reliability of our tools;
- Provide third-line support to end users;
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance team performance and solution quality, actively contributing to achieving team objectives and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) set by the Product Manager;
- Work in close collaboration with team members, internal stakeholders/users and external partners/suppliers to drive successful project outcomes and maintain high standards of service delivery.
