In Venezuela, the Operations function is a strategic Business Partner role, ensuring the best use of UNICEF assets in alignment with sound management practices, office priorities and goals to deliver results for children.

Effective administrative management, providing support to ensure efficient operation of the office, supporting the staff through a variety of tasks related to the operations of the premises.

  • Monitor the premises to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Troubleshoot issues with AC system, lighting and indoor climate control as necessary
  • Ensure meeting rooms are maintained and fully equipped
  • Stationery and cleaning products inventory
  • Maintain stationery and cleaning products inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
  • Other administrative support.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as small purchases, filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
  • Coordinate repairs to office equipment and premises.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have: 

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary education.
  • Work Experience:  At least one (1) year of progressive experience in clerical, operations or administrative work. 
  • Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and basic working knowledge of English is required
