Office of the Chief ExecutivePublic HealthPublic Health Intelligence Specialist – Lead for Combating Drugs Partnership and Community Safety PartnershipPO3:40,221 – £43,421 pa1 x 37 hours per weekTemporary (until 31st March 2025)Based at Britannia HouseAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, highly motivated and dedicated individual to join the public health team at Bradford Council to lead our intelligence and analysis function which supports, directs and enables timely action through the Combating Drugs Partnership (CDP) and Safer Bradford, the district Community Safety Partnership (CSP).You will display initiative, be able to work autonomously and have the skills to form excellent working relationships with a range of partners including council officers, NHS, police, probation, Voluntary and Community Sector, Children’s Trust, alcohol and drug treatment services, people with lived experience (crime, substance use, other). Collaboration and partnership are fundamental to delivery of this work.In this role, you will be pivotal in identifying trends, patterns, and gaps across the partnership areas and providing insights to support decision-making of Boards. Your work will assist the development of strategies for reducing harms caused by drugs, promoting healthier communities, improving community safety and building trust within the community.The post-holder will work alongside the Senior Public Health Intelligence Specialist and the PH Intelligence Team. In addition, it is expected that the post-holder will work alongside data, intelligence and analyst personnel from within the wider council and partner organisations.Key Responsibilities include:

  • Producing partnership report for Board level meetings, working with partners to get a deeper understanding of the data, identifying trends, patterns and gaps
  • Updating partnership Needs Assessment and recommending action
  • Utilise existing data and information to support the delivery of the CDP work programme, and to review and measure progress against the National Combatting Drugs Outcomes Framework
  • Supporting Safer Bradford with data and analysis around a number of community safety areas.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings in specific work areas as required and make recommendations
