About the roleSalford City College is a leading apprenticeship training provider dedicated to delivering high-quality education and vocational training to aspiring construction professionals.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Trainer/Assessor to join our team, specialising in the plumbing and domestic and gas engineering standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices, ensuring they achieve the competencies required to excel in the domestic plumbing and gas industry. Key responsibilities include: Developing individualised learning plans to support apprentices in achieving their qualifications. Assessing apprentices’ skills and knowledge through a variety of assessment methods, including practical observations, professional discussions, and written assessments. Providing constructive feedback and support to apprentices, guiding them through their learning journey. Maintaining accurate records of apprentices’ progress and achievements. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice. Liaising with employers to ensure training meets industry needs and standards and staying up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practice.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the domestic plumbing and gas industry and a recognised qualification (e.g. NVQ L3), an assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA or A1), strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and inspire learners, excellent organisational skills and proficiency in using digital tools and learning platforms.REASONS TO JOIN US
