Description

The Associate Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement
will have a vital role in involving alumni of Purchase College with
the College community and soliciting their annual support.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Engagement and
Alumni Programs, the Associate Director will oversee the planning
and execution of all mass annual fund appeals, event invitations,
and alumni communications for Purchase College. This position will
collaborate across advancement and with the campus community to
engage alumni with Purchase College and strengthen the College’s
culture of philanthropy.

 

Key opportunities and challenges include:

  • In coordination with the Executive Director, execute a
    comprehensive engagement and solicitation plan for alumni to
    increase involvement and philanthropic participation; Integrate
    predictive modeling, segmentation and analysis to maximize all
    engagement and giving initiatives;
  • Collaborate with the Office of Communications to ensure a
    sophisticated and integrated alumni communications and
    solicitations plan;
  • Provide event support for all on campus and regional events,
    including invitation lists, RSVP capture, and day-of event
    logistics and support;
  • Manage the Purchase College Advancement Office’s social media
    pages and engage alumni through these mediums

 

Qualifications

The College seeks a fundraiser with the track record to respond
effectively to the responsibilities listed above. To effectively
fulfill the requirements of this position, a candidate must possess
the following professional experience and personal qualities:

  • Demonstrated track record of annual giving and/or alumni
    relations experience within higher education or a related field
    preferred;
  • Personal interest in the College’s mission of education;
    Excellent written and oral communications skills;
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and communications between various
    departments, and complete work independently in a timely
    manner;
  • Excellent computer program/database skills;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience in
    fundraising or a related field.
