Position description

The Weatherhead Scholars Program at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University invites applications for visiting scholars, to join its annual cohort of 20-25 members, comprised of postdoctoral fellows, visiting scholars, and practitioner fellows. These one-year research positions aim to support visiting faculty and are intended to facilitate research in the social sciences on international, comparative, transnational, and global issues. The Weatherhead Scholars Program accepts five to ten visiting scholars each academic year. This is a residential program; participants are expected to be on campus during the fellowship (late August to mid-May). Visiting scholars will partake in the weekly Weatherhead Scholars Seminar, and will have shared office space at 61 Kirkland St. If desired, visiting scholars may audit a course and/or participate in research clusters and seminars across the university. Visiting scholars may also request an undergraduate research assistant. Funding is not available at this time.

Basic Qualifications

Eligible applicants will hold full-time permanent positions, and will hold a PhD in economics, sociology, anthropology, history, International affairs, conflict analysis and resolution, psychology, public policy, political science, environmental science, or related fields. The duration of each fellowship is one academic year.
