Description of the Assignment:
The overall objective of the consultancy is to review the Eswatini National Youth Council website to enhance user experience, improve functionality, incorporate relevant content and align it with existing design trends. The specific objectives are:
- To develop the website into a “one stop shop” for information on all youth development related national programmes
- To create a safe and user-friendly website with direct links to significant sites on youth development nationally and internationally
- To maintain the visibility of the ENYC’s programmes and activities, funding partners and national events
- To improve consistency in updating website content
- To revitalize the website to a more youthful outlook in order to generate interest amongst the target audience, creating “traffic” within the website
- A degree in systems and software design, computer science or programming or equivalent
- At-least 5 years of prior experience designing visually appealing and user friendly websites;
- Knowledge of and relevant experience in using different Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Familiarity and knowledge of recent trends in graphic design, websites, current web development technologies, design tools, new software and other web programming languages and programs.
- Proven certified proficiency and fluency in the latest programming technology languages such as Java Enterprise Edition (JEE)/Java Server Faces (JSF)/ASP or ASP.Net/ ASP or ASP.Net
- Proven experience in the following roles: Web Development, ASP Web Development, VB.Net Web Development, Junior Web Development, Dot Net Web Development, ASP.Net Web Development, and Web Application Development.
- Experience designing and using AODOCS (Workflow / Advanced Search / Document Validation / Records Management / Retention / Metadata / Tagging / Check-in / Check-out / Version control).
- Excellent knowledge of mastering websites operation and back-end design management.
Period of assignment/services: 3 Months.
