Base Location: Flexible, however, our preference is that you will have good access to one of our key UK offices, which includes Glasgow, Gateshead, Leeds, Altrincham, Birmingham, Chepstow or Egham. Travel to Glasgow on an infrequent basis will be required.Salary: £33,500 – £50,300 depending on skills and experience + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | options available.We are excited to be recruiting for the position of a Bid Manager as part of our growth strategy, reporting to our Senior Bid Manager.This is an ideal opportunity for an individual in their early bid management career who has the passion to develop their skillsets and experience, as training and development will be provided and/or indeed an individual with the proven ability looking to make their next planned career move.The role is extremely varied which requires the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to meet fixed submission deadlines and requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a critical eye for detail and good commercial business acumen.Your responsibilities will include:– Project management, driving and taking ownership of the whole bid process ensuring submission compliance requirements and deadlines are met.– Coordinating and managing the end-to-end production of quality tender submissions.– Ensuring that high quality professional customer centric proposals are produced that clearly articulate our value proposition.– Managing strategic procurement portals and supporting the sales function in the development of pipelines.– Managing the development of our bid library as well as the development and generation of case studies by creating content framework documents to support the submission of tenders and proposals created directly by our sales teams across the UK.What do I need?To be considered for this position you will require the following skill sets and proven experience:– Experience in best practice bid management, including experience of bid planning; content planning/creation; governance and the production and submission of compelling submissions. Tendering experience within Public and Private Sector would be advantageous.– Strong partnership values, assertive and persuasive interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build a rapport with colleagues across functions are important in this role.– Ability to work flexibly, travel occasionally and manage virtual teams collaboratively consisting of different subject matter experts in the planning, producing and submission of high quality tender responses.– Demonstrable track record in winning new business, ideally within the energy or environmental sector and/or within a multi service solutions driven environment.– As an individual, you will be a resourceful, motivated self with a positive attitude to overcoming obstacles to solve challenges, ideally from a customer facing Business Development background.About Our Businessbusiness makes some of the most iconic buildings come alive!We’re one of the largest building controls companies in the UK, renowned for its sustainability credentials; and enjoy strategic relationships with leading technology companies including Honeywell (Trend & Tridium); Siemens and Distech.Our business helps achieve optimised working environments leading to reductions in buildings’ energy consumption through the installation and maintenance of a variety of building control technologies, including Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), and the application of data analytics to provide building performance insights.In addition to building control technologies, we deploy smart energy infrastructure solutions including: solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.We love being a market leader and topping out some outstanding projects to the very highest of standards – on time and within budget!What’s in it for you?We offer an excellent package with 34 days annual leave entitlement.
