The Project Officer (PO) will coordinate, implement and monitor project activities and relationships with partners and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the social cohesion/PVE objectives of the project in Ninawa governorate. The PO’s project management skills, knowledge of social cohesion approaches, and understanding of the context in Ninawa. The PO will work closely with the Committee of PVE in Ninawa.

Responsibilities:

  • implementing project activities, supervising, coordination of projects and making sure project is according to work plan and timetable.
  • Maintain the working relationships with all local project stakeholders including overseeing the development of a subcommittee of Prevention of Violence Extremism to deliver high quality workshops to beneficiaries and CSOs.
  • Insure all the project requirement and support document in place.
  • Gathering the target group and individual and conducting meetings
  • Preparing attendance papers, document, signatures and other project requirements.
  • Communication and keep touching the project stakeholders.

 

 

Essential

  • Iraqi National
  • Fluent Arabic and English
  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role of responsibilitywith NGO or INGO.
  • Proven skills in implementing skills and work team
  • excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strongly diplomatic and capable of dealing on difficult mediation and negotiations.
  • Solid programmatic, organizational planning and reporting skills.

 

Desirable

  • Bachelor Degree in, Engineering, Social Sciences or similar Humanities Degree.
  • Knowledge of ARD’s regulations and policies, and experience managing high-quality GCERF funded project(s).
  • good English language skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
