Social Protection Specialist

Education/Training: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Economics, Political Science, Development Studies,  or relevant course 

Location: Philippine based-only 

Language: Filipino and English

Professional experience: 

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of social protection especially government social insurance and social assistance;

• Excellent knowledge and understanding in social protection institutions (i.e. PhilHealth, SSS, and Pag-ibig) and policies; 

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of theories, trends and approaches in the area of social protection;

• Understands social protection principles and their application to current national economic and development issues;

• Has a deep technical understanding of social behavioral change theory, and social behavior of Filipinos in the context of social protection;

• Proven experience and implementation of capacity building or awareness raising for the uptake of social protection; and

• Experience in raising awareness, knowledge sharing, management monitoring and evaluation of public programs.  

Preferred Criteria: 

• Experience working in government is an advantage; and 

• At least 5 years of consultancy experience in development sector experience
