About the Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) Program

The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) provides schools and community service organisations with the training, curriculum and strategies to engage the most challenging students.

It is unique because the BSEM equips schools to promote cognitive and behavioural change, thereby engaging the young person in learning and progressing their academic achievement. 

Your Opportunity

The Consultant will work closely with the Senior Manager Program Delivery, Senior Manager Training & Quality, State Lead, Senior Consultants and peers to ensure high quality training and strong customer relationships.

This position will join a well established and growing team who provide business development services, Logistics and coordination to support the role. The role will require regular travel across Queensland and interstate (when not travelling you will be able to work from home)

About You

The successful applicant will come with expert level presentation skills for teacher professional learning (including public speaking, presentations and facilitation skills).

In depth knowledge and expert level program design in one or more of the following content areas: Trauma-informed teaching and learning strategies; Wellbeing / Positive Education / Positive Psychology; Instructional planning and delivery; Academic practice toward significant academic outcomes; Embedding whole-school approaches.

Strong coaching, mentorship and communication skills will be required to successful build successful relationships with key stakeholders in the Queensland region.

Qualification requirements are a minimum Bachelor in Education or allied practice area preferably at Master degree level. Experience in school leadership (primary or secondary; having held the position of Lead Teacher or above; or industry equivalent) is preferable.
