About Us

For over 140 years we have been working at the forefront of gender equality through our housing, community programs and advocacy. Our five-year plan has a focus on making young women’s leadership and women’s housing our priority for gender equity in Australia.

Our mission drives us every day to deliver measurable and meaningful impact towards a future where gender equality is a reality. We are looking for a dynamic People and Culture Business Partner to help us achieve our goals and continue our impactful work.

What You’ll Do

As our People and Culture Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving our people initiatives and fostering a supportive, innovative, and inclusive work environment. You’ll work closely with our management team to align our people practices with our purpose and values.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • People and Culture support to client groups, partnering with leaders to provide expert advice on recruitment, performance, development, and employee engagement.
  • Manage performance, complaints, and grievances matters with empathy and expertise, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
  • Lead and manage exciting HR projects, advancing our positive and inclusive culture.
  • Foster a constructive workplace culture, champion our values, and promote employee engagement and well-being.
  • Ensure that our HR policies and practices are up-to-date, compliant, and reflective of best practices.

Who You Are

We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional who is enthusiastic about advancing gender equality and fostering a positive workplace culture.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in People & Culture roles, with a strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, and P&C processes.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic guidance and support to leaders on a range of matters.
  • A solid understanding of relevant legislation and Awards with the ability to provide clear and accurate advice.
  • Experience in managing organisational change initiatives and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using people metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve processes.
  • Experience in managing and contributing to P&C projects, with skills in preparing reports and business cases.
  • Demonstrated passion for Women’s Rights, social change and contributing to an organisation that advocates for equality through influencing and pushing boundaries.

Successful candidates will need to complete the following pre-employment requirements:

  • National Criminal History Check.
