Join us as the Team Leader for HIPPY Clarence, where you’ll lead the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY)—a transformative, home-based learning program that empowers parents and carers to be their child’s first and most important teacher. This position is part of a service that integrates community leadership with early childhood education, focusing on strengthening communities and enhancing social inclusion.

In this part-time, permanent role, you’ll work as a part of our HIPPY Clarence team to help us create lasting change for children. The HIPPY Team Leader plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Whether it’s leading a dedicated team of HIPPY Home Tutors to empower families with essential early learning tools or building strong community partnerships to enhance program delivery, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific, and around the world.
You will make a difference by:
- Leading the implementation and day-to-day management of the HIPPY program in Clarence
- Recruiting, training, and supporting a team of HIPPY Home Tutors to deliver high-quality early learning support
- Building and nurturing relationships with local families, community organizations, and early childhood service providers
- Ensuring timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on program outcomes
- Developing and managing resources to support the program’s success and community impact
- Overseeing administrative tasks, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance with organisational policies and procedures

Bringing your best every day, means:
- Qualification in Education, Early Childhood, Community Development, Social Work or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and families; families experiencing family and domestic violence; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culturally and linguistically diverse communities
- Experience working with employees and/or clients from diverse backgrounds including, low socio-economic groups, young parents, and socially and/or geographically isolated families
- You foster a collaborative outcome driven culture implementing strategies to enhance team performance; model effective communication to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
