Result of Service
The outcome of this consultancy will be the successful completion of the work by ERDCN, delivering a full report on the state of the art of the complex interrelation among debt, climate and nature.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of the Technical Secretariat, the consultant will have the following functions: To support the Director of the Technical Secretariat in substantive matters.

1. Collaborate in the tasks of bibliographic review, data processing, writing of documents and preparation of presentations on all the topics of the ERDCN.

2. Collaborate in the review of the different drafts of the final report and other documents that will be published within the framework of the ERDCN. 3. Collaborate with the Director of the Technical Secretariat to coordinate the research with the staff of the other member institutions of the TS. 4. Collaborate in the preparation of the presentation of the interim results and the final result of the ERDCN.

Qualifications/special skills

The consultant must be a professional in economics, finance or engineering and, preferably, with postgraduate studies in economics, environmental economics, and / or public finance.

The consultant must present evidence of at least ten (10) years of professional experience in research in the following topics: public finance, climate change, nature / biodiversity loss, sustainable development, and debt.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat.

For this position fluent English is required. knowledge of any other UN official languages is an advantage.
