Full time, 35 hours per week
9 months fixed term contract with possible 3 months extension

Are you someone who can form great connections with people to achieve results? We’re looking
for someone to join our team to help us reach those most in need of our advice.

The Home Energy Scotland team in South East Scotland offer free and impartial advice funded by
the Scottish Government. We work with over 100 organisations to make our service accessible and
to maximise the support available for people across six local authorities with a range of
housing, energy, and demographics. In particular our team work on supporting low income
families; working in the health sector; and providing access to ethnic minority households.

You’ll be joining the partnership team who work with organisations to provide them training
and facilitate referrals through a digital referral tool. You’ll be confident explaining our
services to partners and creating a positive working relationship with different people. We’re
always on the look out for new partnerships – your sharp eye of opportunity will be key to
building new partnerships and creating successful projects.

If you already have an understanding of fuel poverty and it’s causes – that is a bonus! But
having an great communication skills and a willingness to learn will help you to build this
knowledge. To be successful in this role you’ll provide a high-quality service to partners and
build strong relationships across the public and charity sector. The work you do will make a
difference to people, meaning they can affordably heat their homes.

Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and
managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Changeworks has been involved in delivering the service for
16 years, and currently manages advice centres in South East Scotland and the Highlands and
Islands.

This role is offered on a fixed term basis for a period of 9 months, with the possibility of a
3 month extension.

Changeworks is a great place to work. We hold Investors in People Platinum accreditation
(something only a few organisations in Scotland have), and we were nominated for employer of
the year by the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this year. Our staff overwhelmingly would
recommend us as an employer too.

The Climate Emergency has resulted in ambitious national targets to reduce carbon emissions
from the built environment and reduce rates of fuel poverty. This has driven a significant
increase in the number of pilot and large-scale interventions delivered by Changeworks and
external organisations in this area. These include area-based domestic energy efficiency
retrofit and decarbonisation projects and programmes.

We are a growing organisation, and this role is crucial to the delivery of our ambitious
objectives. We want to decarbonise homes in Scotland on a massive scale, and that needs
talented individuals like you to help us deliver on our objectives. You’ll receive full
training plus coaching and mentoring.

We offer a wide range of staff benefits including flexible working, bike to work scheme, an
excellent pension scheme and 26 days paid holiday plus 9 public holidays per year.

At Changeworks, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone.
