Job description

  • Administrative and personal support to diplomats (arrival in Belgium and departure, VAT exoneration, taking appointments, making reservations, etc.)
  • Answering calls, taking messages and handling correspondence
  • Research on information, press monitoring, attending virtually meetings and/or conferences and writing reports
  • Contacts with European institutions, the Belgian protocol service and other Belgian Federacy agencies.
  • Receiving visitors at the reception
  • Help in the organization of events
  • Translation

Your profile

Languages

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (native level)
  • Japanese language basic skills is preferred

Previous professional experience

  • Experience in an administrative/secretarial function
  • Experience in work, academics related to Japan is preferred

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of and interest in EU affairs (foreign relations, security and defense, justice and home affairs)
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Strong interest in Japan (Culture /Language), in relations between Japan-EU

Personal and professional attitude

  • Rigorous and very organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and discretion

Other

  • Work permit required for Non-EU citizens.
