The Investment Operations Department (INO) is responsible for generating a portfolio of high quality, creditworthy, and environmentally and socially sound projects that result in significant developmental impact. The business cycle goes from the identification, selection, origination, structuring and execution of transactions to their monitoring. The Department follows a matrix model, with three segment divisions covering Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Institutions and Corporates, and two transversal divisions covering Financial Products and Services, and Portfolio Management.
The Financial Products and Services Division (FNP) works closely with the Segment divisions to provide product-structuring expertise in the following broad range of products and services: blended finance, capital markets solutions, equity and mezzanine, trade and supply chain finance and resource mobilization. The external consultant will report to the Equity & Mezzanine Team (EQM). The EQM team is responsible for supporting the origination, structuring, negotiation, approval and closing of equity and mezzanine investment deals in the Latin America and the Caribbean.
What you’ll do:
You will collaborate with stakeholders to build a solution that streamlines and centralizes the entire equity and mezzanine investment cycle. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Data Integration. Collect, organize, and integrate financial and non-financial investee data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, and other flat files.
- Database Creation. Design and create new databases to store integrated data.
- Data Modeling and Transformation. Create data models and implement data transformations to enable analytics on portfolio and company-level performance, leveraging data science toolsets, such as Power Query, SQL, Python and/or others.
- Analytics and Visualization. Analyze datasets to identify actionable insights. Design and build interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
- Collaboration. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including technology, operations, and domain experts.
What you’ll need:
Education:
- bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience (reporting, analytics, data management) with preferred exposure to alternative investments. Experience gathering and interpreting data. Knowledge of Power BI, Databricks and programming languages. High degree of adaptability to changing requirements. Ability to self-start and propose data-driven solutions.
Languages:
- Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.
