Job description
Wesnet is the national peak body representing the 350+ women’s specialist domestic and family violence services across Australia. We work with governments, our members and stakeholders to facilitate and promote policy, legislative and programmatic responses relevant to women and children who have experienced domestic or family violence.
The Deputy CEO is responsible for providing high-level support to the CEO and the Wesnet Board. This will involve undertaking and overseeing select governance, corporate, secretariat, and policy work associated with achieving Wesnet’s strategic objectives. The Deputy CEO will be expected to take a lead role in policy development at the national level.
They will represent Wesnet in a variety of forums, and build and maintain networks and relationships with Wesnet members, other national and state/territory peaks and across the sector more broadly, promoting Wesnet’s work and working to achieve Wesnet’s vision of a future where all women and children live free of domestic and family violence and its consequences.
