About the role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working across Parramatta, Penrith and Mount Druitt headspace Early Psychosis sites, with some flexibility to WFH

The Pathways and Partnership Coordinator will leverage their clinical expertise and comprehensive understanding of mental health to streamline referral processes into headspace Early Psychosis, ensuring that young people receive the support they need.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that referral pathways into our services are as smooth and efficient as possible. This position is perfect for someone who is driven to make a difference in the lives of young people and is eager to collaborate with local General Practitioners and community stakeholders to enhance education and awareness around psychosis.

About you in the role

  • Ensuring that referral pathways into headspace Early Psychosis are seamless and accessible
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local General Practitioners and community stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of psychosis diagnosis and management.
  • Designing and delivering targeted education programs to GPs and other referrers, focusing on the recognition and early detection of psychosis in young people.
  • Actively participating in community outreach efforts to ensure that our services are well-integrated within the broader mental health support network.

What you need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in (Psychology, Social Work, Registered Nursing or Occupational Therapy). AHPRA membership or AASW eligibility. 
  • Clinical background in mental health, psychology, psychiatry, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of psychosis and its treatment pathways.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in delivering educational programs is highly desirable.

About the program

headspace Early Psychosis an early intervention service for young people aged 12 to 25 years, that runs alongside headspace. The service provided long term case management (up to 5 years) and supports those young people who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or are at risk of experiencing psychosis.
