About the opportunity

Due to an increase in health program portfolios, Primary Health Tasmania has an exciting, new opportunity for an Advisor – Contractor Relationships to join an established and highly committed team, playing a key role in managing contracts for commissioned service providers in the primary health care sector.

The work of the Advisor follows the full commissioning cycle and works collaboratively with commissioned service providers to deliver quality health care to Tasmanians.

What you would be doing

Working closely with your team and the Manager – Contractor Relationships you will:

  • Prepare contract specifications and oversee health service establishment
  • Develop a shared understanding with service providers on contractual requirements
  • Actively monitor service activity, progress and performance against contracted outcomes, time-frames and budget
  • Manage service contract safety and quality compliance
  • Support contract closure including service decommissioning, and
  • Proactively manage stakeholder relationships and expectations

Here’s what you’ll look like

  • Technical expertise in contract management, such as: contract preparation, performance monitoring, risk and financial management, data analysis and reporting and contract closure/decommissioning.
  • A master engager and collaborator, able to build and maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and work under pressure in an environment of change.
