About the role
The Regional Manager oversees all Non-Family-Based Care Residential Programs and Semi-Independent Living (SILS) within the Hervey Bay and Bundaberg region.
This is a relocation opportunity for interested candidates not currently located in the Hervey Bay or Bundaberg regions.
This role leads a team of Case Managers, ensuring the programs maintain the highest level of service delivery and practice standards.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage all aspects of IFYS service delivery within the area
- Maintain adherence to all requirements, service agreements and contracts relevant to the area
- Work with finance to maintain budgets and ensure that all programs program budgets are adhered to
- Ensure the human resources are effectively managed across the area
- Ensure all programs and employees are adequately resourced (e.g. human, safety, ICT etc.) to complete their roles effectively
- Initiate and develop strong purposeful collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders
- Actively innovate, improve practice methodology, internal processes and systems
- Assist in strategic planning and identifying growth opportunities and assist in their implementation
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of administrative duties such as progress reports, finance documentation and business case submissions in line with legislative, procedural and contractual requirements
- Travel between Hervey Bay and Bundaberg required and potential out of region travel at times as part of professional development
Who are we looking for?
This role requires a seasoned leader in the child protection sector, with proven ability to oversee multiple programs. You will be well versed in contemporary practice frameworks and passionate about leading your teams to strive for the highest standard of service delivery.
We are looking for someone with a high level of governance, who knows how to manage complex situations while maintaining integrity and relationships.
This role requires regular travel across the Wide Bay and Fraser Coast region, but also occasionally to other parts of the state if needed.

Essential criteria to be successful in this role:
- A tertiary qualification in Human Services or related is highly desirable
- Experience in a senior management role, overseeing programs that support vulnerable people with complex needs (preferably in Child Protection and/or Residential Care, similar backgrounds will be considered)
- A strong understanding of trauma informed care, culturally safe practice and relevant legislation related to Child Protection programs
- Knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by First Nations young people
- Experience managing significant budgets of multiple programs and funding streams.
- A valid paid Blue Card and the ability to obtain a Licensed Care Services Suitability Screening
