Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1989 as a national NGO. KOHRW has contributed to humanitarian services and different development programs in the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW specializes in six areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter& WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.
Objective:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of the vocational training and employment initiative. The role requires coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring the timely delivery of project outputs, and maintaining high-quality standards in line with KOHRW
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the overall project, ensuring all activities are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop detailed work plans, timelines, and project schedules.
- Oversee the Labour Market Assessment (LMA) and Training Needs Assessment, ensuring comprehensive data collection and analysis.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, including local businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions, to foster partnerships and collaboration.
- Monitor project progress through regular field visits, meetings, and reports, ensuring adherence to project objectives.
- Manage the project budget, ensuring financial resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- Lead the development and implementation of the training curriculum in collaboration with vocational training centers.
- Facilitate the organization of graduation ceremonies, career days, and job matching fairs.
- Conduct impact assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the vocational training program.
- Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities and fostering a collaborative working environment

Regular field visit to khanaqeen to closely oversee the project.
Qualifications and Experience:

PHD, or master’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in vocational training, livelihoods, or employment programs.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of labor market dynamics and training needs assessments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic; Kurdish is an asset.
- Experience working in conflict-affected or post-conflict settings is highly desirable.
