Your Role 

As the NDIS Coordinator ensure that a consistent, high-quality service is delivered in line with NDIS standards and requirement. Guiding employees with disabilities through their daily work tasks, provide further on the job coaching, support and mentoring, to build participants capability to meet their employment goals.

Your Responsibility

  • Develop goals, training and transition plans in consultation with process workers and support workers.
  • Engage internal support functions to assist supported employees attain and maintain organisational compliance and facilitate and contributing to organisations accessibility and DIAP outcomes.
  • Ensure appropriate wage and capacity assessments are completed, in addition to risk assessments (including behaviour support plan) to ensure safety and a safe work environment
  • Oversee the coordination of data collection within the service, including reviewing daily, ensuring compliance with current legislative and NDIS registration requirements and organisational processes. Maintain accurate and complete records of participant engagement in work using the client management system.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for members, staff and volunteers by implementing the Society’s workplace health and safety practices.

You Will Need

  • Relevant qualification/s and / or demonstrated experience in community services and / or other relevant area.
  • NDIS New Worker Screening and the Certificate of completion for The NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You or willingness to obtain Certificate of completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including cultural sensitivity and cross-culture communication.
  • Experience working with challenging and diverse client groups with the ability to use sound judgement and act appropriately in crisis and emergency situations
  • High level computer literacy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
