What we do:

The International Policy and Strategy function (IPS) in the Markets Group is responsible for developing and executing on an international analytical and engagement framework to inform and facilitate the execution of the Bank’s international responsibilities, and to build institutional relationships consistent with evolving global financial, economic, and transformational trends.

 

The International seminars team in the International Policy and Strategy function is responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing the Bank’s flagship Central Banking Seminar and specialized central banker training and capacity development programs;

  • Collaborating across business lines to ensure that program content reflects emerging trends and the Bank’s international policy and operational objectives;

  • Leveraging seminars and training programs to develop and deepen relationships with global central banks, financial supervisors, governments, and international organizations.

 

Your role as an International Seminars Principal:

  • Contribute to the development of the Central Banking Seminar agenda, including seminar theme and write up, identifying and framing topics, and recruiting internal and external speakers;

  • Lead coordination of the US Monetary Policy Implementation central banker program as well as  other ad hoc central banker programs;

  • Develop key internal and external partners for collaboration on new and existing programs, including trainings and capacity development programs for the Bank’s central bank and international account holders;

  • Liaise with Bank business areas to ensure policy priorities and operational objectives are reflected in central banker course content and messaging;

  • Represent the Bank and deliver presentations for official visitor groups;

  • Draft and coordinate targeted communications for central bank leaders, speaker talking points, moderator questions, discussion group topics, intranet features and marketing materials;

  • Oversee management of seminars data in central CRM system to ensure high data quality;

  • Leverage seminar participation and survey data to analyze efficacy, impact and reach of programs and make recommendations for improvements.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in international relations, business, economics, or public policy;

  • Strong understanding of the role of central banks and the role of the Federal Reserve in the financial system and the global economy;

  • Strong project management skills, including sound influencing and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously;

  • Effective relationship management and diplomatic skills, including the ability to develop and maintain a broad range of internal and external contact networks;

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and/or external partners on topics related to international monetary policy, financial markets and economic issues;

  • Strong written communication and public speaking skills with an understanding of current international macroeconomic, monetary policy and geopolitical issues.

 

Salary Range: $170000 – $230000 / year
