The Client Support Worker will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care and support to clients at the Community Centre. Additionally, you will assist the Manager and team in enhancing client support services.

This is a permanent, part-time position with 32.5 hours per week and flexible working days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Provide high quality, person centered care, including case work and referrals. Support the Community Centre’s daily operations and ensure client needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to WH&S, risk, and safety policies. Maintain client documentation confidentially and follow organisational systems for data management and communication.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrate leadership aligned with BaptistCare’s values. Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
  • Community Engagement: Understand local community needs and service gaps. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Contribute to the development and evaluation of quality measures and projects.
  • Client Focus: Practice a person-centered approach in all interactions, identify and address client needs, and seek client feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Work Health & Safety (WHS): Adhere to WHS policies, report hazards or incidents. Model positive safety behaviors and respect at work.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with individuals facing disadvantage and those in high-need communities.
  • Proven interpersonal skills for building relationships and trust through responsiveness, consistency, and empathetic listening.
  • The capacity to adapt to a dynamic and diverse community environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, and to establish effective relationships with local networks.
  • Competency in capacity building and an understanding of trauma’s impact, with developing skills in advocacy.
  • A commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Infection Control policies
  • Previous experience working with Children and Families
  • Previous experience in Community Services sector
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity, with the ability to embody and promote our values in daily interactions.
