Job description

Catch 22 are working with one of the North West’s leading Conference and Entertainment venues as they seek to fill the position of Technical Services Engineer.This is an excellent single site position with the chance to work on a state-of-the-art venue. The will require the planning and provision of electrical services for large scale events and conferences. This will include the testing and inspection of the new electrical installations as well as the planning and operational delivery of complex, ever changing temporary services. The ultimate objective is to ensure that the customer experience is delivered to the highest possible standard.Responsibilities of the Engineer

  • Carry out general maintenance within area of responsibility, associated with the provision of temporary services and floor standards
  • Maintain all stock inventory in line with statutory obligations as required.
  • Provide temporary electrical services for exhibitions and events, to include testing and Inspection of Electrical Installations.
  • Perform all duties with the utmost integrity avoiding any conflict of interest between the business and any other entities.
  • Assist the Lead Engineer in the coordination and delivery of the temporary services team to facilitate event set-up and breakdown for all the above services as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • Electrical qualification ideally C&G 236 Part 1&2
  • C&G 2382 BS7671 Regulations
  • C&G 2391/2 Inspection and Testing
  • Communication (verbal, written and listening skills), with excellent spelling, grammar and the ability to produce error-free documents
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • The ability to prioritise work and accommodate conflicting requests, whilst ensuring the day to day functionality of the complex.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivation and management of workload

  • Salary estimate is £31,500 per annum
  • Working hours are 40 per week
  • Any hours worked above this amount can be claimed back in time off
