About Odyssey House NSW

Beaumont People is partnering with Odyssey House NSW, one of Australia’s largest and most highly regarded AOD organisations in NSW, to recruit to the Senior Manager- Residential Programs role.

Residential Programs is one of a group of program types offered by Odyssey including Community Programs, Multicultural Programs and the CDAT Community Development and AOD Harm Prevention Programs.

Residential Programs includes over 100 beds across two sites in South West Sydney. Leading Residential Programs includes oversight of the Parent’s and Children’s Program-a facility to support up to 16 parents with accompanying children as well as a 12 bed Medical Unit that provides withdrawal management (for both residents and external clients) as well as a range of other medical services. Residential Programs also includes a range of other AOD Treatment, Clinical (Psychological), Case Management and Residential supports.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Residential Programs, you will oversee the successful operation of Odyssey House Residential Programs, including the Medical Unit, the Family Recovery Centre, and the Residential Therapeutic Community. Your role will ensure high-quality treatment and support in line with the Odyssey Model of Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support six direct reports managing residential programs at Ingleburn and Eagle Vale.
  • Ensure programs meet obligations and deliver on activities per funding agreements, including reporting and data capture.
  • Oversee program budgets, finances, policy and procedure reviews, and HR functions.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, represent Odyssey House at forums and events, and maintain referral service linkages.
  • Participate in and support Odyssey’s Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement processes through timely data and information reporting.

Essential Criteria

To excel in this role, you need to be an experienced operational and people leader with a passion for the AOD recovery space.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience managing programs in health and community services, ideally supporting AOD, mental health, homelessness, or similar needs.
    • Experience managing clinical teams is highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field are advantageous.
  • Empathetic, strengths-based, and approachable leadership style.
  • Knowledge and experience in risk management, clinical and corporate governance, including budget management, WH&S, and data management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and provide clear direction.
  • Strong networking skills to build relationships with stakeholders and referral networks.
