ABOUT THE ROLE

In this exciting and unique position you will:

  • Work with a team of young people to inform, advise and collaborate on a range of participation opportunities across headspace National
  • Get paid to contribute your lived experience and expertise in the governance and services planning, design, delivery and continuous improvement of headspace National
  • Complete training and professional development in advocacy, safe storytelling and much more

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

headspace is seeking young people aged between 18 and 25 who:

  • Have had a previous connection with a headspace service or other mental health service
  • Have a passion for youth mental health
  • Are willing and safely able to share their mental health lived experience and have appropriate supports in place
  • Can manage and balance their schedules with this casual position
  • Can participate in group discussions and work within a team

We are keen to hear from young people from all backgrounds and life experiences, including young people who:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Are from multicultural backgrounds
  • Identify as LGBTQIA+
  • Are living with a disability or chronic illness
  • Live in a regional, rural or remote community

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST

  • Have the right to live and work in Australia
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for your home state or territory
  • Satisfactorily undergo a headspace Police Check
