Global Bid Team Commercial SpecialistJob PurposeLead the development of competitive, solution-oriented commercial bids for Industrial Project customers, focusing on large-scale, complex RFQ events. Define and drive consensus regarding commercial strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, critically analyzing pricing inputs and identifying outliers or non-competitive rates. Guide the pricing sourcing team on project-specific requirements. Advocate for the use of existing processes, guidelines and policies. Manage stakeholder contribution in an agile manner to maximize value creation and market differentiation, in line with business strategy to support the sustainable growth of DHL Industrial Projects.Key Tasks

  • Receive and administer RFQ information and information in line with standard procedures, using existing tools and DHL systems
  • Review and analyze RFQs for large-scale multimodal projects, identifying key focus areas and communicating strategy to all stakeholders.
  • Develop commercial strategies for bids in collaboration with the local/regional, pricing and technical teams, ensuring cost competitiveness and commercial alignment with proposed technical solutions.
  • Translate customer price requirements into clear universally understood language to ensure stakeholders fully understand client requirements and internal expectations.
  • Ensure price lists are broken down into specific parts and assigned to the appropriate stakeholders for improved focus.
  • Delegate rate-sourcing tasks to team members using clarity and transparency, ensuring efficient and timely sourcing completion of activities, and facilitating internal reviews.
  • Document timelines and manage contributors in an agile manner to ensure proper completion of assigned tasks by agreed deadlines, including by escalating perceived under-performance in a timely manner
  • Provide stakeholders with tactical guidance, in line with industry standards
  • Use industry expertise to identify trends and develop suggestions for enhancements that deliver solutions with lower cost and/or risk profile
  • Assure, in a timely manner, that all stakeholder contributions are aligned to guarantee that RFx responses are (at least) in full compliance with customer requirements
  • Provide support, direction, and guidance to other team members on everyday challenges
  • Support the Global Bid Team with ad-hoc administrative requirements, holiday covers, etc. as required

Qualifications & Key RequirementsEducation Level:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualificationExperience Level:Minimum of 6 years of experience in Project Logistics mandatoryMinimum 3 years’ experience with pricing complex, global, multimodal project logistics RFQsRequired to have experience with Breakbulk, Heavy Lift and OOG FCL cargoDesired tender management experience for at least 2 yearsDesired FCL pricing experience for at least 4 years
