The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grant and Tender Writer to join our team that is committed to supporting innovative practice and service delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting high-quality tender proposals to secure funding and contracts in a competitive tender environment. The Grant and Tender Writing Partner will work closely with various programs to ensure that proposals align with Communicare’s strategic directions.

In this role your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Research and Analysis: Identify and analyse tender opportunities from government agencies, non-profit organisations, and other funding bodies.
  • Proposal Writing: Develop compelling and persuasive tender proposals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and compliance with tender requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, finance, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for proposals.
  • Project Management: Manage the end-to-end tender process, including timelines, submission requirements, and post-submission follow-ups.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all tender submissions, feedback, and outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposals to ensure they meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Compliance: Ensure all proposals comply with organisational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

This position will be offered on a fixed term full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of tender writing, grant writing, or a similar role, preferably in the social services sector with proven success track record
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised.
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of the social services sector, including key issues, trends, and funding landscape.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
  • Unrestricted drivers’ licence
  • Working With Children Check
