Vetting and Onboarding AdministratorHybrid – Merseyside, LiverpoolFull Time, 6-9 month FTCBand 7Here at Serco, we’re seeking a Vetting and Onboarding Administrator who will administer processes for current and new employees to ensure Serco’s compliance to screening & vetting requirements across a variety of regulations. You will administer the onboarding process to ensure a great experience for new employees joining Serco and provide advice and support to employees, line managers and HR colleagues.As part of this you will:

  • Checking employee’s right to work and identity documents.
  • Monitor vetting checks through to completion in the most efficient way possible, encouraging applicants to undertake tasks and provide additional information where required.
  • Seek references and supporting documentation to verify employment and activity history.
  • Set up employee Occupational Health checks and monitor completion, updating employee line manager where additional support is required
  • Deal with enquiries and reviews, making sure that employees and contractors hold the correct level of clearance for the work they are/will be involved in and sites they will work at or visit.
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts, and external agencies, such as United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Home Office & Ministry of Justice Vetting teams
  • Resolve queries and help Applicants, Hiring Managers, Serco Recruitment Teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Accurately maintaining associated software systems and databases with up-to-date information.

What you will need to do the role:

  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Experience of utilising multiple systems with accurate data input.
  • PC literate with knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn new software/system functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of UK Visa and Immigration Right to Work legislation is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Vetting and Screening processes is desirable.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail.
