Context

The UNDP Kuwait office is working to enhance its strategic engagements and partnerships, particularly with non-governmental entities, including the private sector, development funds, and philanthropies. This role will support the Sustainable Development Portfolio, focusing on building and maintaining partnerships, analyzing data, and enhancing UNDP Kuwait’s visibility.
The UN Volunteer will be a key member of the UNDP Kuwait Sustainable Development Portfolio Team. This role involves close collaboration with various units within the CO and external partners. The Partnership Analyst will focus on supporting the development and maintenance of partnerships, collecting and analyzing data, and creating impactful visualizations and reports. By leveraging these insights, the Partnership Analyst will contribute to the formulation of targeted strategies that enhance UNDP Kuwait’s visibility and strategic positioning, ultimately strengthening partnerships that drive sustainable development in the region.
International UN Specialist Volunteers in Kuwait are entitled to:
– Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) in the amount of USD 2,690.3;
– Entry Lumpsum USD 4000;
– Annual and learning leave;
– Free Medical and life insurance;
– Free access to different learning platforms;
– Family allowance $250 per month for one dependent. $450 per month for two or more dependents
– Exit allowance (paid on successful completion of the assignment); $225 for each month served, paid on completion of contract;

Task description

Under the overall guidance of the Resident Representative and the direct supervision of the Programme Analyst for the Sustainable Development Portfolio, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
• Support the development and maintenance of partnerships: Assist in identifying and cultivating relationships with non-governmental entities, including private sector companies, development funds, and philanthropic
organizations.
• Data Collection, Analysis, and Visualization: Assist in the collection, analysis, and visualization of data to inform strategic engagements and partnerships. Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends.
• Creation of High-Level Presentations and Reports: Contribute to the creation of presentations, infographics, and reports to enhance UNDP Kuwait’s visibility and strategic position with partners. Ensure materials are well-
researched, data-driven, and visually compelling.
• Analysis of Developments and Collaboration Opportunities: Aid in analyzing key developments and potential areas of collaboration currently being discussed with various partners. Stay informed of the latest trends and
opportunities in the region.
• Monitoring Climate Financing Trends: Support in monitoring and analyzing climate fi-nancing trends and streams from UNDP donors and partners in the region. Assist in identifying new funding opportunities related to climate
action.
• Developing Donor Intelligence: Assist in researching partners’ needs, priorities, and funding patterns. Develop comprehensive donor profiles to support strategic engagement efforts.
• Support for Sustainable Development Portfolio: Perform other related tasks and duties as required to support the Sustainable Development Portfolio and its partnership activities.
