Whether guiding their path to net zero or redeveloping their facilities for enhanced efficiency, we create better places for work whilst taking away the burden of facility operations, freeing up our customers to concentrate on their business.Role overview:As a Construction Estimator, you will form part of the estimating and sales teams, contributing to targets and company objectives both renewals and new opportunities within Mission Critical Solutions.What you’ll do:

  • Conduct accurate building estimates for a range of projects within the MCS portfolio
  • Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements
  • Use your industry knowledge to keep abreast of competitors methodologies
  • Provide information and prepare and compilation of proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of Project delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options
  • Proactive approach to the continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies
  • Management of the implementation of ‘best practice’
  • Management of the implementation of common practice across the division to ensure meaningful commercial and operational datum’s are established
  • Obtaining specialist subcontractor costs
  • Read and understand the client requests / documentation
  • Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process
  • Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation
  • Update Pipeline Reporting System and to contribute, to the generation of BD Management information reports
  • Progressing submitted tenders
  • Assist in formulation of tender returns
  • Establishing agreed benchmarks for performance
  • Measurement of performance versus contracted requirements
  • Identification of a broad range of cost saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations
  • Interactions with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.

Person SpecificationWho you’ll be:

  • Educated to HNC/HND standard (or equivalent)
  • Ideally have experience in Data Centre projects
  • Excellent time management
  • Relevant experience of estimating within a main contractor
  • Proficient IT Skills to include, Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL
  • Must have driving licence to travel to sites

This role can be based anywhere in the south of the UK, with regular travel to customer sites, and our Eastleigh office.Benefits
