Position Title: Online Programming Coordinator
Start Date: October 2024 – March 31 2025
Hourly rate of pay: $30.00
Reports To: Manager, SWIS and Refugee Initiatives
Hours: Full-time (35hrs/week)
Location: NYCH locations/remote work

Position Summary

The Online Programming Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the development of various online programming, trainings for staff/community and creating/delivering content for live sessions using various platforms.

Main responsibilities: 

Developing Online Programming

  • Assessing what online programs are currently taking place at NYCH and identifying where there may be gaps in programming
  • Connecting with partner agencies to explore new ideas and possible collaborations for online programs
  • Identifying and supporting NYCH staff in delivering various online programs
  • Identifying new concepts and tools in online work throughout the non-profit sector
  • Working with NYCH staff and community members to create content and deliver live and/or recorded online sessions through various platforms. i.e: Facebook Lives, Instagram Lives, videos, etc.
  • Taking a lead in creating videos/podcasts with NYCH staff, volunteers and community members

 Trainings for NYCH staff 

  • Developing and delivering trainings to NYCH staff on various different online platforms and tools
  • Supporting staff, as needed, to use new online tools in their daily work

Documentation and reporting

  • Updates and maintains partnership document and reports regularly to Manager
  • Produces reports on monthly basis

 Other duties 

  • Participates in NYCH events and initiatives (in- person/virtually)
  • Supervises volunteers and placement students

Required Qualifications: 

Education 

The minimum level of education preferred is a degree/diploma in social sciences, community/settlement services or related fields.

Experience and Skills 

  • Excellent understanding of online programming in the non profit sector
  • Excellent proficiency in online tools and platforms
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Confidence in delivering live online sessions and speaking in front of large online audiences

Other Requirements:  

  • Typically works regular hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional evening/weekend work. This work will be hybrid, with 2-3 days in person work.
  • A successful clearance of criminal record verification will be required when necessary for the position.
  • Candidates will be asked to declare their vaccination status during recruitment process. Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of full vaccination before or directly upon the start of their employment.
