Job Title: Business Analyst Location: London, UKOur Hiring Manager says:

  • This role requires well-developed verbal and written business English communication skills. Showing an ability to write technical support & process documentation.
  • Effectively use presentation tools (oral and written) to communicate and obtain user support for changes to business processes
  • Experience in Business process reengineering and project management.
  • Experience creating service reports (Incident, Project, SLA etc)
  • Able to operate under pressure and in time sensitive support environments and work with senior members of technology and business teams to drive and deliver change initiatives.
  • Real-world experience of the ITIL operational process (Incident, Problem, Event, Access Management & Request fulfilment) & knows what best practice looks like.
  • Degree level in an IT related field preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage service transition projects and work to our existing standards, Work for further mature and document these processes.
  • Co-ordinate team training and knowledge transfer activities as they relate to corporate and Platts applications changes.
  • Setup and manage teams Kanban board process and track work intake of projects & tasks and report on progress.
  • Manage weekly project reporting for Platts Win10 project.
  • Creation of management reports include weekly service report and automation of reports where possible.
  • Participate on service reviews with Business (Platform) teams and drive execution of service improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze performance of L1 activities (Service desk, Application Support) and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, devise, and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Drive our knowledge management process. Writing, reviewing & approving technical knowledge
  • Co-ordinate & drive activities around proactive engagement & training with end users (Training clinics, Onboarding process changes)

Experience and proficiency with a variety of tools & methodologies including:
Core (Required)

  • Good understanding of ITIL methodology (ITIL certifications preferred) with proven operational experience in previous roles.
  • Exposure to industry standard ITSM tools (ServiceNow strongly preferred)
  • Experiencing of working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
  • Microsoft Office / Office 365 especially Excel (Macros & automation)

Non-core skills (Beneficial but not essential)

  • Knowledge of SQL Query language
  • Experiencing using Tableau Desktop & Tableau server
  • Any project management qualifications (Prince2)
