Team description

Hydrogen Europe’s Market Intelligence team supports the Secretariat, Hydrogen Europe members, and European institutions with data and analyses related to developments of the hydrogen market. That includes analysing previous year’s hydrogen consumption, tracking planned clean hydrogen projects, creating outlooks for the future, analysing production costs, tracking electrolyser manufacturing capacity, and other -hoc analyses as needed by the Secretariat, members, or European institutions.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who would be able to help us with data work, long-term projects, ad-hoc analyses, and other daily tasks.

Main responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the manager, monitor and track data sources and conduct public research (press releases, public databases) and help maintain multiple databases:
  • Support deliverables of various other long-term projects undertaken by the team
  • Contribute to any ad-hoc tasks originating from the Policy & Market team, Hydrogen Europe members and European institutions

Requirements:

  • An excellent command of spoken and written English (ability to easily read/comprehend public sources and extract relevant information)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package more specifically Excel
  • Understanding of the energy sector
  • Educational background (Master degree preferably) in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Sustainability Management, Energy Systems, economics, or other similar fields). Policy degrees only with previous quantitative energy related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, discretion;
  • Strong time management skills and eye for detail

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with the hydrogen sector is a plus
  • Experience in data collection, research, or a related field would be welcome
  • Familiarity with database management systems and practices would be welcome

  • CIP contract for 6 months
  • The intern would be taught the basics of hydrogen’s current and future role in our society and would be trained on various hydrogen production methods and end-uses relevant for his/her daily tasks
  • Within months, based on his/her research, analytical tasks, and database work, the intern would begin understanding the current hydrogen landscape and develop a perspective on the future role of hydrogen in a net zero world.
