So come and join us.An experienced Oracle Fusion Reporting Analyst or Functional Consultant is required to provide day to day production support across the Oracle Fusion modules.In this role, you should be able to provide Functional, Technical and SQL knowledge focusing on Oracle Fusion Reporting.AWE’s core ERP business system is Oracle Fusion utilising Financial Management, Projects, Procurement, EPM and Analytics. We require an Analyst or Functional Consultant who is passionate about reporting who can clearly demonstrate how we can develop and exploit this capability to its full potential.Within this role, you will be expected to support Oracle Fusion Reporting from within the IS function.You will join a highly qualified and experienced team to help us deliver future changes and improvements always looking at ways to improve and exploit the capability on Oracle Fusion Reporting.To be considered for the role, you will be an accomplished Oracle Fusion Reporting Analyst or Functional Consultant.Location – Reading areaPackage – £48,250 – £60,000 subject to skills and experienceAs part of our People Promise, AWE (one of the best 25 big companies to work for in the UK) has a range of benefits to suit you. The Role:

  • Understand from the business (working with Directors, Programme Managers, Resource Managers etc.) what information they require to deliver their requirements.
  • Identify and interrogate source code within Oracle and other sources that will deliver raw data.
  • Delivery of accurate information through appropriate mechanisms to senior management.
  • Acts as the leading Oracle technical expert for BI capability.
  • Provide practical assistance and expert advice in all aspects of business intelligence (“BI”) across AWE.
  • Develop and deliver training to all areas of the Business in order to aid their understanding of the significance and limitations of reporting.
  • Foster best practice within the business by creating and actively supporting a BI Community of Practice and providing guidance to users and information owners influencing their approach and requirements.
  • Review, learn and improve BI processes, ensuring full integration with corporate business processes, enabling appropriate performance reporting and governance.
  • Lead and manage cross-company virtual teams (including external subject matter experts) to deliver business requirements.
  • Assessing safety and security implications of the information delivered through BI across the business and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
  • Delivery of ongoing improvements to existing Oracle Fusion Reports inline with Oracle Fusion configuration across the modules.
  • Develop training material, deliver training at all levels of the business.
  • Establish Review, Learn and Improve (RLI) activities to increase the effectiveness of reporting processes and procedures against business requirements.
  • Provide support to and mentor the role of embedded BI analysts in the business- giving a corporate view and expert advice to those analysts in the business.
  • Provide proactive help to resolve problems or issues identified within existing delivered business reports.
  • Acting as a corporate authority on the effective display of information through dashboards, scorecards and their components.
  • The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.

The Candidate:

  • Degree level education or the equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Good business knowledge of Oracle Fusion Reporting across different functional areas.
  • Proven experience developing and building OTBI and BI Publisher reports within Oracle Fusion.
  • Experience of using Fusion Analytics Warehouse and developing reports, preferred but not essential.
  • Experience using Oracle EPM (EPBCS) would be helpful not essential.
  • The successful candidate will have a track record of working in a similar role as an Oracle Reporting Analyst or Functional Consultant.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Reporting across different functional areas.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders (internal and external) at all levels.
  • Essential advanced SQL knowledge and ability to define, fix and change complex queries.
  • Proactive identification of opportunities for developing and improving BI across the business.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Initiating improvements and driving change to achieve positive results for the business.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentational skills.
  • Experienced in working within a Change Management environment.
  • Personal credibility.
  • Good understanding of Data Protection Act requirements.
