Authorization level: ASO Director.

Job brief:
Project Assistant Position is the lead role in the implementation of the project. The Project Assistant will manage day to day activities of the project. The Project Assistant will be responsible for managing project activities, project budget and also coordinate with external stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project. Project Assistant will represent Organization in meetings with donor, government officials and other line agencies.
Responsibilities:
Overall job purpose
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of medium to large archaeological field Activity of all types.
• Organizing workshops for  youth  and social workers.
• Conduct training on the LSCE program.
• Provide awareness sessions in the community
• Supervising the implementation of community initiatives with youth.
• Project information management (gather, analyze and track data) to help identify challenges and propose solutions to improve the quality .
• Effective communication and support coordination internally (ASO team) and externally (partners, authorities, iNGOs…).
• Provide regular reporting to the project manager.
Project Management:
• Prepare monthly and weekly work plan.
• Identify, document and report on technical and operational challenges and issues to improve upon.
• Assure project documentation for all implemented activities is complete, archived and in line with donor requirements.
• Ensure coordination with the other project team members (operational Officer, Logistic Assistant and MEAL Assistant).
• To actively manage project reports to ensure reports are delivered within time.
• To document activities and report to communicate project findings and activities.
• Ensure to implement child safeguarding/protection policy and Code of Conduct of Organization.
• To operate within organizational policies and practices.
• Develop monthly expense forecast and submit to Finance department for smooth implementation.
• Any other task assigned by Project Manager.
Representation And External Coordination
• Work in close collaboration with the project partners (International and National NGOs, DPOs, CSOs, School principals and teachers…) and stay abreast of activities organized and services delivered by partners in Community Centers.
• Ensure a close collaboration with relevant local authorities and community leaders.
• Attend relevant external coordination meetings upon request of the project manager.
• Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Experience and competencies:
• 2 years’ experience in the similar position in national or International Organizations.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Excellent organizational and an ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong team-working skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Excellent writing ability, strong interpersonal, group facilitation and oral presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in teams, as well as, working independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Should know all the basics of community mobilization.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
• Strong ethics and reliability.

Education:
• BSc/BA of social sciences or related field, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus.

• English
• Arabic
• Kurdish
