JOB SUMMARY
Ensuring the effective and efficient accounting and administration management of MedGlobal programs in Ukraine in response to the humanitarian crisis.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sustain all MedGlobal accounting processes to ensure compliance with the national laws and regulations.
- Manage accounting and tax records of MedGlobal activities in Ukraine, including preparation and submission of financial, tax, statistical reports etc.
- Prepare and supervise all matters related to HR accounting such as payrolls, timesheets and leaves of the national staff members, keeping personnel records, and reporting, to ensure that the employment standards applied for MedGlobal local staff are compliant with local labor and tax law, etc.
- Advertise new positions and follow the whole recruitment process documentation including on-boarding.
- Off-board documentation for employees when leaving and complete any clearance required.
- Manage the petty cash and related files (cash book).
- Fill the bank books and related files.
- Prepare Bank reconciliations.
- Support in the preparation and submission to the HQ requests for payments and requests of transfers; Assist Country Representative and MedGlobal Ukraine staff in the management of expenses and procurement matters.
- Cooperate with relevant HQ MedGlobal staff for the preparation of internal and external audits;
- Perform other duties if required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Audit.
- 3-4 years relevant experience in accounting.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting of INGOs, Representative Office of INGO, local NGO and/or charitable foundations is desirable.
- HR experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Ukrainian tax regulations and Ukrainian labor laws.
- Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, accounting SW).
- Ability to manage and prioritize a varied workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Flexible and with a positive attitude.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken Ukrainian and English languages.
