This is a complex and challenging role that requires creative thinking and a passion for providing extremely high-quality customer service.The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to work constructively with colleagues in other departments and countries across World Courier’s network.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receiving and dealing with client inquiriesProviding quotes according to client specificationsMonitoring, tracking and updating clients on the status of shipmentsEntering information into the proprietary databasesLiaising with other offices to ensure shipments arrive according to customer requirementsDemonstrating professionalism on the phone and in the office. Providing Excellent Customer Service to internal and external clients.Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations. ​Assists with customer problems such as delays, missing shipments, price adjustments; etc.Communicating with WC Sales to address client feedback, potential for new business, coordinating special orders, and providing quotations.What your background should look likeCandidate Requirements:Prior experience in, or knowledge of, working within the logistics, supply chain or pharmaceutical sectors would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.A levels / Highers or equivalent educationGood knowledge of computers and MS OfficeExcellent communication skills and proven problem solving abilitiesAbility to prioritise and multi-task as requiredWhat we offer:Starting Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 per annumBonus – 5% (on target bonus plan)Other Company Benefits:Private Health Care InsurancePension Scheme – 6% enhanced employers matched contributionLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgrammeAnnual leave: 20 days plus bank holidaysWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
