For EU-Residents with Valid Work Permit Only

About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support us with several core research activities, such as the collection, analysis and reporting of data from our child helpline members. These data are used to detect trends, improve support for children and young people and advocate for children’s rights on a local, regional and global level. Through the generation of actionable insights, this role will be instrumental in enabling course corrections in our programmes and strategy.

The Data Analyst will join the Data & Research Team and work closely with our Data & Research Manager and several volunteers. As we are a small team, we are also looking for someone who has great organizational skills. This is a perfect opportunity if you are an entrepreneurial and highly motivated person seeking ownership.

Main tasks include:

    • Collecting data, i.e., creating and distributing surveys and other research materials and documents.
      – Performing data validation, cleaning and descriptive and inferential analyses.
      – Creating data visualizations (i.e., plots and dashboards).
      – Writing reports summarizing the results of the data analyses.
      – Conceptualizing and designing research projects.
      – Working on case summaries.

Who We Are Looking For
You love exploring data! You are driven by making discoveries, understanding their implications and proactively delivering timely, digestible answers to complex tasks. You have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and convey technical concepts to non-experts. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • Location: You must live in the European Union and have a valid work permit (non-negotiable).
  • Education: Degree in social sciences, statistics or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis methods, including software such as R.
    • Experience with qualitative data analysis, including content analysis methods and relevant software.
    • Excellent conceptual and writing skills.
    • Fluency with Excel.
    • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Outstanding organizational skills.
    • Native or near-native spoken and written English skills. Proficiency in Arabic, Spanish or French is a plus.
    • Prior experience with dashboard-building tools (e.g., Tableau, BI) is a plus.

If this sounds like you, apply now to join our team and make an impact with your data skills!
