It is a significant step forward in Delta’s ability to offer complex high-power solutions, a broader product portfolio and strengthened Delta’s position in the European market.Job DescriptionDigital Projection is looking for a talented, flexible and personable Pre-Sales Application & Support Engineer to join a rapidly expanding team of motivated self-starters. The role is a technical one in the Audio-Visual field, so while experience would be beneficial, full training will be provided from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable people in the projection industry. Drawing on 25 years of experience in projection, Digital Projection are on a solid growth track and are backed by the $13 billion Taiwanese giant Delta Electronics which offers a hugely diverse and engaging environment with excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidate. Reporting to the VP Global Marketing in the UK HQ, the birthplace of 3-Chip DLP projection, the candidate will enjoy the full support of the technical and PM teams. Some of the main responsibilities:

  • To provide pre sales technical concept drawings and advice to customers and regional sales managers using Sketchup and associated tools.
  • To provide in-field commissioning, installation assistance, maintenance and repair within Europe
  • Provide tech support by answering queries from the field
  • Assist with preparation and set-up of tradeshows within Europe
  • Work with the wider tech support and sales team to ensure positive outcomes to all internal and external tasks
  • Assist the sales team in demonstrations to customers
  • Keep up to date with AV developments in the industry
  • Work with HQ R&D and Products team to ensure you are up to date will all the latest developments
  • Maintain service database post customer calls
  • Assist consultants with technical queries for tender specifications

Qualifications

  • At least 5 year’s experience in the AV industry
  • Experience of using Google Sketchup – other CAD tools very advantageous
  • Experience using MS office
  • Technical qualification preferred
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written. Other European languages beneficial
  • Good understanding of IT including hardware and network interfacing / topology
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, drawings and technical advice
  • Flexibility to travel as required
  • Driving License
  • Passport / ability to travel in the EU
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills
  • Outcome and customer focused
  • Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail
  • An interest in AV
  • Ability to work with customers and develop great relationships
  • Team player
