Our vision is for this new investment to help start a new era in our mental healthcare provision at NELFT, making us among the most holistic, relational and person-centred services in the country.Main duties of the jobCome and be part of one of our newly planned, integrated mental health & wellness team in Havering. These new teams combine assessment and early intervention and recovery services, removing the need for a two-tier service and no more hand off of patients from one service to another. You will be supporting the transition of services at a clinical specialist level, underpinned by compassionate leadership.In alignment with the Community Mental Health Framework for Adults, we intend for our teams to be trauma informed and person-centred, putting relationships back into the heart of care; all team members will receive training in new ways of working including Open Dialogue and trauma informed approaches to care.Working for our organisationProbationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).Starting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.Higher Cost Area SupplementThis post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesUse of AIApplications for this role should be written by the applicant.   • NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Qualification in nursing or Occupational Therapy
  • Current professional Registration
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development

ExperienceEssential criteria

  • Minimum 4 years post qualification experience within a mental health setting
  • Experience of working within community recovery or brief intervention services who treat and care for individuals in line with the Care programme approach and Care Act 2014
  • Extensive experience of undertaking complex mental state assessment, risk and needs assessment with service users with severe and enduring mental illness
  • Experience of providing managerial and clinical supervision to junior colleagues
