The Opportunity

The Business Development Specialist coordinates grant acquisition and expands the funding portfolio from various sources to support the Plan International program in Guinea. As such, he/she is responsible for identifying funding opportunities in line with Plan International Guinea program priorities and facilitating resource acquisition with high standards of appropriateness, timeliness, and effectiveness. The Business Development Specialist leads Plan International Guinea’s efforts to achieve country fundraising targets and supports the Country Office in developing strong relationships with National Organisations (NOs) and donors.

About you

You have strong experience in business development, project design, consortium building, and reporting, with a solid background in humanitarian aid and development. You bring expertise in working with NGOs, UN agencies, or equivalent, with knowledge of major donors like EU, GF, World Bank, and USAID. Skilled in representation and negotiation with governments and donors, you communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, representing Plan International with professionalism. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, you work effectively both independently and in teams. Fluent in English and French, you are organized, culturally sensitive, and committed to Plan International’s core values.

Type of Role: Conakry, Guinea. Relocation support will be provided.
