This role is essential to the quest to deliver a modern, fit for purpose, proactive HR function to support the transformation of the workforce in the way we recruit, retain, develop and support our staff.Main duties of the jobThe postholder will take a lead role in the QI/quality assurance of the whole HR function in addition to the governance and management of the HR function’s KPIs and key people metrics.   • Has significant experience of working with Executive and Senior Management Teams on all types of HR issues.
  • Substantial and proven senior HR leadership experience in a highly unionised environment including direct personal leadership of consultation and negotiation with trade unions to introduce organisational changes/terms and conditions.
  • Substantial experience in human resource transactional services, including workforce planning, recruitment, and workforce information.
  • Experience of leading HR Teams and operating/governing efficient transactional HR services

QualificationsEssential

  • Higher degree (MA, MSc, MBA) in relevant discipline e.g., HR, Leadership, QI, HR Governance, equality and diversity, organisational development, employment law and/or the equivalent comparable industry experience to be defined as: o Significant experience of working at senior management level in a similar role and comparable (size and complexity) organisation. o Knowledge and expertise across a number of business areas relevant to the role i.e. employment relations, recruitment, organisational development. o Demonstrable success of providing compassionate leadership and direction and developing people practices
  • Evidence of recent and on-going continuous professional and personal development
