A finance officer is an individual who plays a vital role in managing the financial and accounting aspects of an organization. The role includes monitoring expenses, managing accounts, and providing financial reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Account Management: Recording and following up on daily financial transactions such as incoming and outgoing invoices, preparing accounting records and ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
- Financial Reports: Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports based on accounting data, for financial analysis and evaluation of the organization’s financial performance.
- Monitoring and analyzing cash expenditures and ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet daily and future financial obligations.
- Contributing to preparing and following up on the organization’s annual budget, and providing recommendations to develop it and increase financial efficiency.
- Following up on the organization’s bank accounts and monitoring the exchange rates of the organization’s accredited banks.
- Interacting with investors, bankers and other regulatory bodies to maintain strong and effective relationships.
- Following up with banks, customers and suppliers to audit payments, and preparing detailed reports on them.
- Implementing daily general accounting operations including journals, monthly and annual closings.
- Use financial analysis tools to understand and identify strengths and weaknesses in financial performance, and provide recommendations based on financial analyses and the resulting data.
- Commitment to the organization’s approved financial and accounting policies and procedures, and contributing to their development to increase efficiency and transparency.
Required Skills:
- Ability to understand financial and economic challenges and analyze financial data in depth to make informed decisions.
- Ability to prepare and manage budgets and financial planning effectively to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Ability to use financial and analytical tools to understand financial performance and provide financial reports and recommendations effectively.
- Technological skills: Ability to use accounting software and various technological tools to analyze data and provide reports.
- Effective communication: Ability to communicate effectively with members of the financial team and other departments within the organization.
- Ability to work under pressure, ability to work with high accuracy and carefully review numbers and data to ensure financial accuracy.
