Description

An operations and logistician is a person responsible for organizing and managing all aspects of operations and logistics within an organization or company. Ensures operations flow smoothly and efficiently by managing resources and equipment and ensuring customer needs are satisfactorily met.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

  1. Develop and implement strategies and plans to improve the efficiency of operations and achieve alignment with the organization’s goals and project missions
  2.  Organizing the use of resources including staff, equipment and materials to ensure maximum benefit from them.
  3. Improving and analyzing current processes and developing and implementing new procedures and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Logistics management by organizing and managing the supply chain including shipping, distribution, inventory management, and achieving compliance with standards and requirements.
  5. Ensure the provision of high quality products or services according to set standards.
  6. Providing technical support, solving problems, and providing technical support to work teams and customers to ensure continuity of operations.
  7.  Preparing periodic reports and analyzes of operations performance and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring its availability in sufficient quantities without excess costs.
  9. Transportation and Distribution: Organizing and managing transportation and delivery operations to ensure that goods reach the specified destination in a timely manner.
  10. Shipment management: includes following up on shipments, and addressing issues related to delays, damage, or loss.
  11. Improving operations: working to improve the efficiency of logistics operations by developing procedures and using modern technology and methods.
  12. Dealing with suppliers and customers: Negotiating with suppliers to obtain favorable supply terms, and communicating with customers to meet their requirements and ensure their satisfaction.

 

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Use advanced logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage databases, and analyze data
  • Critical thinking and the ability to deal with problems and challenges that may arise during logistics operations.
  • Ability to communicate with internal teams, suppliers and customers effectively to ensure the necessary coordination and collaboration are achieved.
  • Understand the regulations and legal requirements related to logistics, and work to ensure compliance with them, including occupational safety and health.
