What outcomes will you achieve?
As a Housing Manager you’ll be responsible for a regional portfolio of houses and units and be the key point of contact for the tenants within that portfolio. You’ll provide those tenants with excellent customer service and advise them on all things housing, tenancy and property management. You will also connect your tenants with support providers and communities to assist holistic health and wellbeing. The aim being you are able to provide them with stability and security.
The priority for all Housing Managers is tenant satisfaction and sustainment and upholding our values in every step and action.
What does a day as a Housing Manager look like?
- Working to the Customer Service Charter and following housing policies and procedures
- Responding to tenant enquiries, complaints and grievances
- Managing appeals processes and tribunal representation (NCAT)
- Working within legal frameworks and guidelines with the tenants, their support partners and other Bridge teams to help sustain tenancies
- Conducting regular property inspections and reporting any repairs and maintenance issues
- Working with support coordinators and support providers to ensure holistic wellbeing of the tenants within your portfolio
- Financial management including: rent, arrears management, tenant deb, voids and vacancies, bonds and recharges
- Building and maintaining relationships with tenants, support providers, and communities to create sustainable communities
- Actioning administrative duties in a timely manner within the SDM software and other relevant IT systems
Our Housing Managers have versatile skills and backgrounds including:
- in property and/or tenancy management
- working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- working with social housing and residential tenancy management
- managing arrears processes
- Certificate in Social Housing or Real Estate certificate of registration
- Knowledge of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) procedures
- community engagement and trauma-informed practice

- Desirable: knowledge of the residential tenancies agreement and NCAT
Our Housing Managers do need to have a current and valid drivers license in order to conduct a primary objective of the role (property inspections, which are at least one day’s work per week). They also need to be willing to obtain a Criminal Record Check.

- This role is graded as a Level 4 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award. Bridge Housing currently offers above-award remuneration:
- This role is paid at a base salary of $93,886 – $101,018, plus salary packaging and superannuation.
