About the Role:

We are seeking a Program Effectiveness Coordinator, Location -Open to all locations (THQ Redfern/ THQ Blackburn/ DHQ QLD/ DHQ SA) for a Part-time ( 4 days a week) opportunity.

Purpose of the Role:

Develop, implement and support the ongoing improvement of SAID’s Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (DMEL) systems. Provide technical support to SAID staff and implementing partners to support learning, high quality reporting and effectiveness measurement.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 4.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Program Effectiveness

  • Implement the SAID Effectiveness Framework, including establishing fit-for-purpose data collection and analysis processes and producing internal and external reports to support strategic decision making.
  • Provide technical support to relevant SAID staff to strengthen and align project DMEL (Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) with the SAID Effectiveness Framework and other relevant reporting needs.
  • Coordinate the ongoing improvement of the program team’s DMEL processes to continually improve program quality and ensure reliable data collection, analysis and reporting for evidence-based performance reporting.
  • Deliver DMEL training and ongoing technical support to implementing partners, where appropriate.
  • Provide technical support to SAID staff to plan program and project evaluations
  • Research and support the implementation of data management and analysis technologies that will improve the efficiency and quality of effectiveness measurement and reporting.
  • Develop tools, training materials and other resources to support the program team’s DMEL processes
  • Contribute to compliance reporting, including DFAT accreditation, as required

Networking and Partnerships

  • Collaborate with other TSA territories and IHQ to develop and strengthen DMEL systems and capacity across TSA globally.
  • Represent SAID at relevant sector Community of Practice meetings, workshops and conferences.

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Undergraduate degree in international development, evaluation, program management or other relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years working or volunteering in international development.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and analysing information from various sources and preparing communications for dissemination to a wide range of audiences, including the board, communities, and donors.
  • Demonstrated high level written, verbal and cross-cultural communication skills, including well-developed report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and strengthening the capacity of staff and partners
  • Strong understanding of international and community development theories, approaches and sector standards.
  • Willingness to travel as part of role, whether overseas, intra-state or inter-state and be willing to work outside of regular hours.
  • A National Criminal History Check is required
  • Working with children’s check
